11 1/4 inch hand carved holly magic wand. This is a representation of the Venus of Brassempouy, a mammoth tusk fragment carved into what is thought to be the earliest representation of a human likeness. dating to about 25,000 years ago, and complete with easily identifiable hair/headdress, she was named after the cave in France where she was discovered in 1894. I may revisit this theme in the future, as this carving I’ve done is a little stylized for my liking. A symbol of masculine energy, it draws off the element of fire. It is a powerful wood used for healing and protection. Holly needs a partner of strength and goodwill and is excellent for defensive magic, animal work, and protection magic.
